5th Annual VanDusen Charity Car Show & Family Fun Event

Yesterday’s VanDusen Charity Car Show in support of Big Brothers Big Sisters of South West Durham was a big success!  It was an extremely hot day and we still had a great turn out as car enthusiasts and spectators filled the dealerhsip lot. From classics to hotrods, 250 show cars were on-site for the event.  The success doesn’t stop there, as the event raised $6,804 for Big Brothers Big Sisters!  A 50/50 draw, raffle tickets, and attendee donations raised $1,804 onsite.  An additional $1,000 each was donated from RBC and Walkaway Canada. In the end Jim VanDusen stepped up on behalf of the dealerhsip and donated an additonal $3,000.  Thanks Jim!  It really shows that the community matters especially for a great cause.  That now brings the total raised over the last 5 VanDusen Charity Car Shows to over $31,000 in support of Big Brothers Big Sisters of South West Durham.

I would like to say a special thanks to all of those staff volunteers and their family and friends who came out to help and made this year’s show another success.  With 250 show cars (Crusiers, Hot Rods, Rat Rods, Trucks, Race & Muscle Cars) coming to our dealerhsip, there were many spectators out.  We had DJ music, a Kids Bounce Castle, food and drink vendors, vendor product display booths, Face Painting, Door Przes and much more.  This event could not happen without your support!  Whether it was your 1st or 5th time attending the show we appreciate your support this year as a volunteer.  It is always a fun and fantastic event with lots of activities for the whole family. We couldn’t have done it without you.
