This year has been filled with a lot of challenges, with the Holiday Season in full swing we are looking for positive news. Boyer Chevrolet Buick GMC is looking to give back to their community. Every year since the dealership has been in Ajax we have done a Holiday Food Drive in support of the Salvation Army. We have come up with ways to make sure people are safe and still able to donate anything they can. Every little bit counts, even if it is just 1 can of beans. We are offering contactless donation pick up and drop off at the Dealership.
Unfortunately due to COVID-19 a lot of restrictions have prevented the Salvation Army from doing a lot of their normal fundraising this year. Luckily they were recently able to have their Turkey Fest Turkey Drive Sunday November 29th. This is how they are able to fulfill their Christmas Food Assistance Hampers for local clients. Seeing the communities come together with social distancing was just amazing.
We at Boyer Chevrolet Buick GMC wanted to do something extra for them, we donated 50 Turkeys to the Salvation Army. James from The Salvation Army kindly came in to the dealership and accepted our donation in a social distance manner. Everyone isn’t able to have a meal during the Holidays, and some even more with the unfortunate conditions of the year. Thinking that our donation is going to feed 50 families this holiday season is the best gift we could ask for.
