VanDusen Charity Car Show supporting Big Brothers Big Sisters

Dear Team,

I’d personally like to thank everyone who helped out this weekend for our 2nd Annual VanDusen Charity Car Show and Family Fun Event!

I’s also like to thank the Karbelt ‎Team who helped us run the show and special thanks to all the show entrants (and their gorgeous vehicles) as well as all the spectators!  Thank you.

The show was a great success and never could have gone so smoothly without the help of so many of you.

Paul Burling ‎from Parts – deserves very special thanks. His passion for this show and all his hard work for months leading up to the show and all through the show is amazing.  Thank you Paul.

Over 40 people (including several spouses) helped move all the stock vehicles ‎Saturday and then back Sunday (over 200 vehicles), handling the registration, tickets sales, parking, directions, the jumping castle, face painting, taking pictures, intermingling with crowd and so on – it a was truly a team event.

For those that had other commitments and could not make it – the show was a great success. We were overflowing with show and spectator vehicles. ‎ Show vehicles of about 300 covered the entire front of the property and wrapped around the building.

It was simply a great day and the weather sure cooperated this year which helped!

We raised via the $2 entrance fee (for show vehicles – free event for spectators), raffles and donations…  $1,909.15 – ALL going directly to Big Brothers Big Sisters of Ajax Pickering.

The dealership will be topping this amount up by $3,090.85 – ensuring BBBS receives $5,000 again this year.  Way to go team!
